How did I not hear about this earlier: pies and cobblers baked in jars. (See here and here.)
little j has her school carnival coming up in a month, and (as if I didn't have enough to do) I'm thinking about making a few of these for the cake walk. (Why isn't it a pie walk?) Who doesn't want their own personal pie or cobbler to carry around? And, given my love of all things fruit with a delectable crust, these have my name written all over them. If I do end up making them for the carnival, I know where I'll spend my cash!
