Tonight we had what Big J titled Da Vinci's ear pasta, that is, we had Orrechiette Carbonara. Yummy! The recipe is so simple, but with amazing flavor. It is simply bacon, leeks, Parmesan, eggs and parsley mixed with the orrechiette. I served it with our first asparagus of the spring. It was a flavorful and easy meal. We opened a bottle of Cline Zinfandel to go along with the pasta. Our dinner guest, Ms. A, topped of the meal with homemade brownies. Big J was out of town so it was just us three girls. Pasta, fresh asparagus, good wine and delicious brownies. What more could three girls ask for?

mmmmm........Da Vinci's Ear
