We made it to Orlando at about 1:30 this afternoon and, of course, after checking into our hotel we headed right to Disney Hollywood. One of the most exciting parts was right when we arrived and were heading through the gate we looked up and saw the space shuttle launch. So amazing! I can only imagine how cool it would have been to actually be at Cape Canaveral during the launch.
We had a great afternoon and headed back to the hotel with a stop at Chevy's close by for a quick dinner. Big J and I shared the mahi mahi fish tacos served with rice and pinto beans. little j had the quesadilla.
Since having little j I've pretty much given up on my cardinal rule of not eating at chain restaurants. Of course I would much rather try out the local hot spots, but 5-year old aren't known for their adventurous eating or patience, so sometimes we have to settle. No shame in that.
The best thing about Chevy's tonight was the balloon guy. He went around the restaurant making balloon "things" for all the kids. little j got a pink and purple butterfly, Big J got a sword. Fun stuff.
