Given the quote in my blog banner, it is no surprise that I adore Julia Child. One piece of advice I have always clung to with my cooking is to never apologize for food. Never make excuses or say that you wish it was better. It only forces guests to reassure you it is really okay, even if it's not. Just go with it and realize it will be better next time.
Julia's exuberance and love of food has inspired me to think about food in new ways -- most especially to see that even the most complicated dishes are accessible to the home cook.
I leave you with a wonderful clip from Julia and David Letterman. And a perfect example of doing what you can with what you have!
